Dr. Suneeta Mahagaokar is currently Manager Business Improvements and Operations in Shell Health at Shell Oil Company. Prior to this she was the Global Discipline Lead and Manager, Toxicology for Shell, being the first woman to lead Toxicology for one of the five Oil majors. She specializes in petroleum toxicology and its application to the petroleum industry. Suneeta received her BS from The University of Bombay and a MS and PhD from the University Of Texas Graduate School Of Biomedical Sciences, Houston. She completed her postdoctoral training with Dr. Sheldon Murphy in the Toxicology Department at University of Texas Medical School and subsequently obtained certification as a Diplomat of the American Board of Toxicology (DABT). She worked for Pennzoil Company and later managed Toxicology and Product Stewardship for Pennzoil. Suneeta joined Shell Oil Company in 2002. She manages a global group that supports all Shell products and facilities. Her experience includes petroleum, regulatory and occupational toxicology, product stewardship and risk assessment. Suneeta loves to spend time with her husband Uday, and her children Vinay and Rajen. She enjoys traveling, reading and cooking.
